Green Fairway Estates Home Tour
February 18, 2017 |
Tour Times: 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM
New to Modernism Week in 2017, this first-time tour of five unique homes in Green Fairway Estates offers a rare glimpse into the last neighborhood built by the Alexander Construction Company. Designed by renowned architect Donald Wexler in 1965, this little-known enclave features sunken tubs, light-filled atriums and spectacular, space-age fireplaces. Masterful stone and brickwork adorn both interiors and exterior facades, giving this collection of quirky modern homes a distinctly Hawaiian flavor.
Tucked away on the Tahquitz Creek Golf Course in the southeastern corner of the city, these homes’ very existence have eluded both locals and visitors for more than 50 years. This is your chance to experience the best kept secret in Palm Springs!
Ticket sales benefit the newly-formed Tahquitz Creek Golf Neighborhood for blade signage improvements and neighborhood watch efforts.
