Stars and Star-chitects in Deepwell Historical Walking Tour (Exteriors only)

February 16, 2017 | 9:30 am - 12:00 pm |

$35

In this pristine, little-known neighborhood of Deepwell Estates lived some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Loretta Young, William Holden, Carmen Miranda, Liberace and Jerry Lewis, are just some of the stars who called Deepwell home. Some of these houses were designed by the desert’s most renowned architects, our “star-chitects,” including E. Stewart Williams, Donald Wexler, Hugh Kaptur and many others. A knowledgeable guide will lead you past the exteriors of these elegant Modernist homes. You will learn fascinating secrets of the stars along with the history of this Midcentury neighborhood. You will also view a property recently used as a movie location site. This well-manicured neighborhood also boasts some of the most attractive desert landscaping in Palm Springs. Deepwell is certainly one of the most appealing and charming neighborhoods in the desert.
