Midcentury Modern Meets Modern: Design Milk Talk & Reception

February 19, 2017 | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm |

Join Design Milk founder Jaime Derringer moderating a highly social discussion at the new Desert Eichler Home, followed by tasty bites at a wine and cocktails reception.

Midcentury Modern Meets Modern: How the Past and the Future Can Live In Harmony

Panelists include: Bobby Berk (Bobby Berk Interiors + Design); Troy Kudlac (KUD Properties); Dana Krieger (Sonos); Chris Pardo (Elemental Architecture); and others, to be announced.

Midcentury modern design is a trend that doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon, but how does it fit into our modern lives? From technology to architecture to interiors and products, this conversation will explore how midcentury modern has influenced how we design our homes today, and how its aesthetic has greatly influenced modern design as a whole. Plus, learn how and where midcentury meets modern design in Palm Springs and Southern California design.

The panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer period and refreshments and cocktails. Enjoy a tour of one of the brand new Desert Eichler homes by KUD Properties, in the first 21st Century Eichler neighborhood on the famed Dr. Scholl’s estate, a short drive from downtown Palm Springs. The home features mountain views, a large trademark Eichler atrium, expansive glass windows and stylish midcentury furnishings in various styles from vintage classics to the finest Danish reproductions by Carl Hansen & Son, with an interior designed by Bobby Berk and a special audio experience and installation by Sonos. If you missed out on getting tickets to Eichler Day 3.0 on February 18, this is the only other Modernism Week 2017 ticketed event to be hold at the Desert Eichler.
