Cocktails with Charles Hollis Jones at the Hearst Estate
February 22, 2018 | 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm |
This extravagant estate was designed by architect James McNaughton and built for George R. Hearst, the eldest son of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst and his wife Rosalie in 1962. The home features the architects’ signature Hollywood Regency and Neoclassical style and many attributes associated with the infamous family home Hearst Castle. The residence also provided a temporary shelter for their niece Patricia Hearst, who came to Palm Springs to recover after being taken hostage by the Symbionese Liberation Army for 19 months in 1974.
The evening’s guest of honor is renowned American artist and furniture designer Charles Hollis Jones, known internationally for his extensive use of acrylic and lucite.
Enjoy evening cocktails and canopies around the magnificent pool that emulates the Castle’s famous Neptune pool and tour the fabulous newly restored and refurbished estate with Charles and friends.
