Bring your landscape design dilemmas to Modernism Week and get 30 minutes of advice from a professional landscape designer at APLD’s “Ask a Landscape Designer.” This is a great opportunity to sit down with landscape professionals from the Association of Professional Landscape Designers for some simple and affordable design solutions for your own garden.
Reserve a consultation for the desired time slot when you purchase your ticket. When you arrive at CAMP, you will be assigned your own personal landscape designer. You are encouraged to prepare in advance: bring photos of your existing landscape and of landscapes you love, your existing site plan if you have one, plant wish lists, or whatever you’d like to share with your personal landscape designer. You will leave your 30 minute consultation with valuable professional guidance to help launch you toward the next step in your landscape design process.
What can be accomplished in your 30-minute session? Here are some ideas:
-a review of the plants on your wish list;
-suggestions for creating a design palette of plants and other materials that work well together and are suitable for your location;
-ideas for translating the look of a showcase home into a real-life home landscape;
-coaching on how to organize your ideas into an overall theme for your landscape;
-professional feedback on your own landscape design ideas;
-resources for finding plants, hardscape materials and decorative elements;
-details about the step-by-step process of creating a professional landscape design.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment. If you miss your spot or are late for your appointed time, please come by and we will try to accommodate you.
Disclaimer: APLD designers providing consultations at CAMP will be offering conceptual designs and horticultural advice only. A complete landscape design will take into account many components that will require more time than 30 minutes would allow. For more information, please visit www.apldca.org.
