Mid-Century Mermaids: A History

Vintage Roadside, the husband & wife team of Jeff Kunkle and Kelly Burg, have spent years researching, documenting, and sharing the history behind America's mid-century mom-and-pop businesses. For Modernism Week 2012 they debut a new presentation focusing on a 1960s phenomenon – the mermaid attraction! They will be joined in their presentation by friend and aquatic performer extraordinaire, Marina the Fire Eating Mermaid. For a show-stopping finale Vintage Roadside will present a true Modernism Week first – a live mermaid and fire eating performance by Marina!
