The Edris House is Desert Modernism at its finest.
Designed for his friends Marjorie and William Edris, architect E. Stewart Williams was commissioned by the Seattle hotel owners to build the historic residence in 1954. The Class 1 Historical Site contains many of the original fixtures, including the organic materials, knotless Douglas fir, local stone and indigenous landscape Williams carefully incorporated into the home.
The architect stood by the guiding principle that architecture should come from the earth, rather than being placed on it. In a very special twilight tour, discover how this principle informed the design of this hillside home – and while you’re at it, experience the home to its fullest by enjoying a magical desert sunset with a glass of wine in hand.
Tickets are still available for this event – don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to explore a true gem among gems!
